I worked my way through college as a bank teller, completing majors in finance and accounting where I was a member of Beta Alpha Psi accounting honorary. I passed the CPA exam upon graduation and was made auditor and controller of Florida’s Oldest bank, The Lewis State Bank in Tallahassee. During that time, I did correspondent bank audits and audited trusts and guardianships of the bank’s trust department and got a foundation in trust administration. After eleven years and attaining a position of Vice President, I left Lewis State Bank to become President of Marine State Bank for nine years. During that period I also taught principles of bank operations and attended the graduate school of banking of the south at LSU in Baton Rouge, La. While president of Marine State Bank, I obtained licenses as a real estate broker and as a mortgage broker.
I left banking in 1983, and became a loan work out contractor handling problem loan cases for the FSLIC and assisted the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Graphology department as a forgery expert. During the next seven years I developed property, owned two real estate agencies (including a “ReMax” Real Estate franchise) and several other commercial businesses. I also spent three of those years as a court appointed receiver in a foreclosure and rehabilitated a resort and a timber company during which time I was involved in over 16 law suits for that company.
With that litigation experience and having been qualified as an expert witness in real estate, banking, and handwriting, I decided to go to law school. I graduated from the Florida State University College of Law with honors in December of 1992, a grandfather and the oldest member of my class. I received my bar grades on my 50th birthday and have been practicing law for the past thirteen years in Tallahassee.
As you can see, my entire career has been helping people like you resolve financial, real estate and legal issues. If you need assistance in these areas and want quality service, call me right now at 850-224-2422 so that we can see how I can help you.
